Pam Hunt

 

Pam Hunt is the co-founder and co-musical director of Pipestone School of Music, with her husband, Terry.  She coordinates and teaches the strings program at the Methow Valley Elementary School.  A registered Suzuki teacher, Pam has a full studio of private students on violin, viola and cello.  She is the violist in the Tamarack String Quartet, principal violist with the Pipestone Orchestra, and principal cellist with the Okanogan Valley Orchestra.  509-997-9344

Terry Hunt is a co-founder of Pipestone School of Music with his wife Pam. He has been teaching guitar for over 35 years. He holds an M.A. from the University of Denver and a B.Mus. from the University of Colorado Boulder, both in classical guitar performance.He plays a wide variety of styles of music and also composes. 509-997-9344

Tara weaver
 
 
Tara Kaiyala Weaver began violin study at the age of 18 months, performing in her first recital at age 3.  Her extensive training includes solo performance, chamber music and orchestras in Seattle and abroad. By eight she was leading string quartets and was concertmaster of the orchestras in which she participated, and at 14 began coaching young chamber ensembles (later to receive instruction under renowned groups such as the Borodin Trio, Concord String Quartet and Philadelphia String Quartet).  Tara performs regularly, teaches violin, conducts the Pipestone Youth Orchestra, plays in two local community orchestras and leads the Tamarack String Quartet. Having started Pipestone Summer Music Camp in 2007, she continues to facilitate the chamber music program. 509-341-4194

Lynette Westendorf
 

 

Lynette Westendorf has been a freelance pianist, teacher, and composer since the 1970s, and currently teaches piano and music theory from her home in Winthrop. She holds her doctorate in composition from the University of Washington, and has four CD recordings to her credit. She regularly collaborates with other musicians, both locally and regionally. When not working in music, Lynette can be found skiing, hiking, swimming, biking, or quilting. 509-996-3418
