Pipestone School of Music, the educational branch of Cascadia,offers several scholarships in memory of Christine Cherrington to local and regional music students. We have both merit and needs based scholarship as well as a sponsorship program.

The Merit Scholarship is awarded to the outstanding music student of the school year determined by a live performance audition. Applicants must be age 19 and under.  Being the highest honor earned through the School of Music, the winner will receive $300, a certificate, and performance in the Pipestone Music Days Concert Second place receives $150 ,third place $100.
Need based scholarships are available to students of any age and ability and are based on both financial need and commitment to furthering musical study.

We will be  accepting applications for needs based scholarships in the Fall of 2017.  Private music teachers can recommend their students. Applicants can pick up Scholarship Application Forms from their teachers (applications attached) or at the Cascadia office, Room #3 in the Methow Valley Community Center when they become available. Look for announcements in the Methow Valley News,  here on our website and other places such as at the Schools.
